At Pacific Maritime Institute, we take pride in preparing our cadets for successful careers at sea by facilitating placement opportunities with leading global shipping companies with whom PMI has strong links. Upon completion of the pre-sea induction course, our cadets—well-trained in foundational maritime knowledge and discipline—are eligible for shipboard training with international fleets. These placements offer hands-on experience aboard vessels trading worldwide, allowing cadets to develop the practical skills required to become competent deck and engine officers. Our partnerships with global shipping firms ensure that cadets gain exposure to real-world operations, modern vessels, and multicultural working environments, setting them on a strong path toward maritime certification and long-term career advancement.
